1. Introduction
At Parentville.ch, we respect your personal information and are committed to maintaining your trust. In particular, we would like to assure you that we never sell, rent or trade email lists with other companies for marketing purposes. 2. Privacy policy and data controller.

3. Data processing.
We collect certain information about the visitors of this website. Read below to learn what data we collect and how we use it.

a. Cookie data.
A cookie is a small text file that is stored on a user’s computer for record keeping purposes. We use cookies on this Website to enable us to track and target the interests of our users. We may link the information we store in cookies to personally identifiable information that you submit while on the website. You can remove the cookies by following the directions provided in your internet browser’s “help” file. You express consent to cookies by continuing to browse this website.

b. Mailing list
When you sign up to join our newsletter or download our Freebie File, we will ask you for some personal information, such as your name or email address. We will use this, in combination with data obtained through your site usage, to deliver you content which we believe will best suit your interests. You are free to unsubscribe from those communications at any point by clicking Unsubscribe at the bottom of our every email. You are also free to not submit that data to us. We will ask for your consent at the time of signing up to our mailing list.

4. Third counries, international companies.
Some of the systems we use to process your data are managed by international companies. We have reviewed those companies’ safeguarding processes and believe they have demonstrated sufficient duty of care in handling private data and compliance with GDPR.These are the organisations which have access to your data:

a) Google Analytics
When someone visits this website, we use Google Analytics to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify individual users. b) Mailchimp
When you sign up to receive our newsletter, we collect some of your personal information. We use that data to tell you about things you’ve expressed interest in, but also to inform you about upcoming promotions, to obtain or provide additional information or to check that you’re happy and satisfied. We use MailChimp to deliver our email communications. We gather some statistics about when you open or click links in our emails to help us improve the content of our newsletters. You can see MailChimp’s full Privacy Policy here. You are free to unsubscribe from our mailing list at any time by clicking the Unsubscribe button at the bottom of every email. c) Facebook
We allow Facebook cookies on our website, which means that we make a note of your visit to our site and can use that information to advertise to you on the Facebook platform in the future. We don’t access your Facebook profile and the data is stored in a way which doesn’t allow to identify individual users. Facebook’s Privacy Policy is available here.

5. Data storage.
We store your personal data to analyse site usage, such as how many visitors we receive and how much time they spend on the site for a period of 24 months. We store your personal information required for email communication indefinitely, unless you request to be removed from the list. Occasionally, we make sure you’re still happy to receive our newsletter by sending you a message if you’ve not opened any of our emails in more than 3 months. If you don’t open that email, we will remove you and all your data from our mailing list.

6. Data access request.
We will never store your personal data against your express wish. If you’d like to be removed from our mailing list, please use the unsubscribe button at the bottom of any of our emails or contact our Controller directly at parentvillegeneva@gmail.com Under GDPR, you have the right to be ‘forgotten’ – for all your personal data to be removed. If you wish to execute that right, please contact us at parentvillegeneva@gmail.com and we will be happy to assist you.

7. Data Privacy Rights.
We will make every effort to rectify any mistakes you make us aware of in handling your data. We endeavour to respond to any such requests within a month of you informing us of such fact. Should we fail to do so, or if you’re unhappy with the way we have handled your request, you are entitled to lodge a complaint with the appropriate data privacy regulatory authority.

8. Automated decision making.
We use automated decision-making processes to decide which emails you receive from us. Based on the type of content you’ve expressed interest in, we will send you communications which are intended to best suit those interests. So, for example, if you’ve signed up to download our guide to the city of Geneva and opted in to receive future communications from us, we will send you more emails related to Geneva and its attractions. You have the
right to amend this information or to unsubscribe from all our emails by emailing our controller at parentvillegeneva@myemail.com
