Crozet-Lelex. This place is located 15 mins from CERN. It is the closest skiing station if you live on rive droite in Geneva. The drive is quick, no need to climb the curly roads – you’ll park at the cable car station in the town of Crozet and the telecabine will take you up to the slopes. The only downside is the stairs to the telecabine. The teaching slope with a rope tow and some fun obstacles, the button lift of a short blue run is next to it. The slopes are all easy but not as wide as in the Alps. All in all a great easy option to start the adventure so close to Geneva.

Col de la Faucille is about 35–40 minutes from Geneva and is easy to reach, although the road up is quite curly and feels very much like a Jura mountain drive. There are both ESF and ESI ski schools, but there is no public beginner slope, as the learning areas are only for ski schools. The slopes are mostly green and blue, gentle and suitable for beginners, but smaller and less wide than typical Alpine resorts.
